Benny,

Yes, you can. The 225/70-15 is only 0.4 of an inch wider. The change in width would not change your handling characteristic dramatically. You might feel a bit of difference in tracking and cornering, but nothing major.

the 225 will be slightly taller than the 215 and may rub on the fender or inside fender covers when turning tight or hitting holes. they will also cause your speedometer to read incorrectly. you will actually be going a little faster than your speedometer says you are. all of that being said, you can get away with it. good luck.
