Have you checked the engine oil level? OK it could be loads of different things. 2010 model - is it still in warranty? In any case, you need to get it to your Pug dealer. Probably something fairly simple, like an oil pressure sensor.

It sounds to me if the engin is stopping when you come to a halt the revs are to low on idel and need adjusting, this would also help to keep oil pressure up.

If your oil light is coming on at idle, you have potentially worn main bearings, worn oil pump or simply a faulty sensor. Unusual for an engine that's only a few years old so more likely to be an electrical fault.

The ECU reads this and shuts your engine off to prevent damage.

This really needs to go to a dealer or mechanic.

Impossible to diagnose here, particularly for such a potentially serious fault, take it to a garage ASAP.
