Vauxhall vectra c handbrake adjustment?

How do i adjust the handbrake on my vauxhall vectra c 1.8ls as the light is showing on the dash and the handbrake is not very good.

i think you will find there self adjusting on them, check your brake fluid level, if it is low it will put the light on, or a faulty handbrake light switch will do the same, the self adjuster is under the console which is under the handbrake lever as is the brake switch, check the rear discs and pads for excessive wear,good luck

Unfortunately they are self adjusting. Check your pad thickness as these have wear indicators. The handbrake has a switch attached to it too under the centre console and that may faulty or if all checks out ok the wire to the switch could be shorted to earth/ trapped somewhere. In my opinion they are a bad design where the linkage fits onto the caliper too, as they collect dirt easily and become sticky. Every service i clean the linkage and spray it with gt85 or wd40.
